5 DIY Burlap Crafts You Can Do

There just so many things you can do with burlap.  That’s why it is one of my favourite crafting materials to use.  See below some project ideas you can do with burlap.

1.  BURLAP RUFFLED PILLOW

YOU WILL NEED:

Pillow form (this one is 12″ x 12″)

Front and back panel cut from fabric of your choice at 13″ x 13″.

4″ burlap ribbon (found at Michaels)

8″ – 10″ zipper for closure

2.  Stenciled Burlap Sacks

YOU WILL NEED:

Dollar bin burlap sacks

Various trim

Glue Gun and Glue Sticks (Affiliate Link)

Black craft paint

Foam spouncer

Small paper plate

Stencils

3.  BURLAP PLACEMATS

YOU WILL NEED:

approx. 3 yards of burlap for 6 placemats

ruler or rotary board

scissors

no fray adhesive

acrylic paint

acrylic brush or sponge brush

stencils (I used paper stencils)

MAKE THIS PROJECT!

4.  Burlap Bubble Wreath

YOU WILL NEED:

14 inch styrofoam wreath form. You can use green or white; whatever you can find.

2 yards of burlap (I used a natural color, but any color will work)

Pack of 100 ball head pins

Embellishments (optional)

5.  Scented Burlap Drawer Sachets

YOU WILL NEED:

Burlap

Sewing Machine (or needle and thread)

Rice – approximately 1 cup for 4 sachets

Clean Cotton Scented Oil or oil of choice

Reclosable Bags

Optional Supplies:

Acrylic Paint

Foam Dabbers
