We know that it’s important that your kids gets interested in doing something that would help them explore their creativity with crafts. And we are excited to share some of easy and fun ways to keep your kids busy creating these fun and very simple crafts ideas!

1. Folding Popsicle Stick Fan

Items Needed:

  • Popsicle Sticks
  • Paper Fasteners
  • Drill
  • Paper
  • Pen
  • Scissors
  • Watercolors
  • Crayons
  • Scotch tape and Blue Tape

2. POM POM PETS IN TOILET ROLL HOUSES

Items Needed:

• Pom Poms
• Googly eyes
• Felt, paper or similar to make a mouth
• PVA glue
• Toilet Rolls (painted is best, but plain would do)
Double Sided Tape
• Coloured or printed paper
Sharpie marker

3. Tubular  Glitter Bracelets

Items Needed:

  • Plastic Tubing:
    • 4 to 5 feet of 7/16″ Outer Diameter (OD) recommended. Plastic tubing is available at your local hardware store.
    • 1 foot of tubing whose OD matches the Inner Diameter of the 7/16″ tubing- this will be the “plug” for the bracelet. It needs to be very snug. If you can’t find matching tubes see the plug alternative below*
  • Large Glitter (your typical glitter, avoid using fine glitter)
  • Small Beads or Objects to fit within the tube (I used Perler beads)
  • Cooking Oil
  • Painters Tape
  • Clear Tape (optional)
  • Funnel
  • Water
  • Paper Towels

4. Puppy Ears card

Items Needed:

  • Letter sized sheets of white, blue, yellow, orange and red card stock
  • Scraps of white and black paper
  • Tacky Glue
  • Scissors and/or craft knife (Remember the craft knife is sharp! Be careful!)
  • Circle punches in 1 inch and 5/8 inch sizes
  • Ruler
  • This PDF template
  • Printer

5. Blow Painting

Items Needed:

  • Non-toxic paint heavily watered down.
  • Plain paper
  • Straws – piercing these with a pin near the top should help prevent Little Sparks from drinking paint!
  • A medicine dropper is useful but not essential!
  • Felt tips
  • Googly eyes – you might like to add other collage materials such as pom-poms for a 3D effect.
