52 Weeks of Pinterest: Week 43 – Waffle Cone Cornucopias!

This year I wanted to go with a resolution I would have no problem sticking to! Then as I was pinning an item on Pinterest, a light bulb flashed on above my head. Ok, maybe not literally, but this great idea popped into my head. Those of us who are Pinterest users know that we pin hundreds of things a week, but do we ever do them? So I decided this year I would do one of my pins every week. At the moment, 52 weeks of Pinterest was born. Each week I will do something I found on Pinterest rather it be a craft, new recipe, organizing technique, or whatever!

This week it’s Waffle Cone Cornucopias!!

What You Will Need:

Waffle Cones
Candy (I used Reese’s Pieces & Brach’s Autumn Mix)
Saran Wrap

First thing you need to do is take the tip of your waffle cone, about an inch, and dip it into a cup of warm water. After 2 seconds or so, remove it and shake off the excess water.

Place the cone on a plate in the microwave for about 10 seconds.

Take a clean pencil or pen and shape the send of your cone to curl up like a cornucopia.

Once I had my shape, I placed my cones in the freezer for 2 minutes or so, just to make sure the shape held. Not sure if this was important or not but it sounded like a good idea to me so I did it! 🙂

Fill with whatever you like. I think some seasonal nuts with the holiday themed candy would be great too!

Place the Saran wrap over candy and tie with ribbon for pretties.

Extra bonus points: Talk about the Pilgrims with the wee ones!

Make sure to pin this to Pinterest to save for later! If you are not following us on Pinterest, make sure to do so now so you don’t miss out on some great pins!
