Christmas On A Budget Series: Creative Neighbor Gifts (Use your stockpile!)

The dreaded neighbor gift… Sorry neighbor if you’re reading this! Don’t get me wrong I love giving my neighbors gifts, it the coming up with the idea that’s not so much fun. They can also get pricey if you have a lot of great neighbors and friends. My solution is to use what you have! In my case, it’s items I have accumulated through couponing. Hopefully a few of you have some of the same extras lying around your house.

My friends and fellow couponers over at HowDoesShe (an awesome crafty blog!) have posted 30 great ideas for neighbor gifts including a few using inexpensive or free couponing merchandise. Here are a few of my favorites:

Anyone have any cookie dough?! Refrigerated or pouched will do.
“We could all use a little extra “DOUGH” this time of year.”
or “Christmas is fun, Christmas is sweet. I’m stressed out so make your own darn treat.”

How about pancake mix or syrup? I still have plenty of this from and Albertson’s sale a while back. You could always use homemade pancake mix.
“We’re “pouring out” Christmas wishes and hoping you have a Christmas to “flip over!”

If you’ve been couponing for a while, you may have stocked up on Snuggle when it was FREE!
“Snuggle UP!  It’s cold out there!  May your home be filled with Warmth and Love this Special Season.”

One of my favorites to get and receive? Paper plates!
“Don’t let your dishes pile up this busy holiday season. Let our family ‘do the dishes’ this week! Merry Christmas!”

Be sure to check out all of HowDoesShe’s ideas over HERE and the previous posts in the Christmas On A Budget Series HERE.

I love this idea, I am all for gifts people will ACTUALLY use. I’d take a package of paper plates over another bath kit I will never use 🙂
