Patriotic Pasta

How cute and easy is this!  This would make for a fun and festive dish for the 4th of July, Christmas, Halloween, any holiday really…and so simple!  Who would have thought that just by putting food coloring into the boiling water, you could quickly and easily give your pasta noodles a little flare!  The kids LOVED this one…and why wouldn’t they…we may be doing this anytime we have noodles now, as I can hear the requests coming.  I saw this pin on Pinterest, and thought it would be perfect for the 4th of July, would be great for making a festive pasta salad for a BBQ or Potluck, or just a fun meal for the kids.

Pasta of choice

Alfredo sauce or sauce of choice

Kielbasa sausage, Chicken, etc.

Add a few drops of food coloring to the water and bring to a boil.

Add your pasta and cook according to package.

Drain and eat with sauce and meat of choice.  The blue looked a bit more green than blue, but the kids still thought it was pretty cool.
