Dinner on a Dime: Creamy Pasta with Ham and Broccoli

I have wanted nothing but pasta ALL week! Pasta, potatoes, and anthing involving bread are in my comfort food list! However, I get tired of plain Jane pasta, so I started looking around and found this great recipe. Most importantly, I, and many others have these items at our home! Thanks to the amazing and talented Martha Stewart for this lovely recipe as well!
Are you ready to start making dinner on a dime?

Creamy Pasta with Ham & Broccoli



¾ pound broccoli, cut into florets – $.17
1 tablespoon oil – $.02
6 ounces wide Egg Noodles –FREE
5 ounces cream cheese, room temperature – $1.40
6 ounces thinly sliced deli ham, cut into 3/4-inch pieces – $.74


1.  Cook your broccoli in the frying pan with oil until a little browned and tender
2. Cook your egg noodles. Save 1 cup of your “pasta water” before draining.
3. Mix in cream cheese and mix untill it is smooth. Add in broccoli and ham, cook until ham is warm.
4. Mix in egg noodles.
5. If you need to thin your sauce, add a little more “pasta water.” Season with salt and pepper to taaste if need be.
6. Enjoy!
