DIY Clip Holder

clipholder

I meant to make one of these when my little one was a baby, and alas, she is almost 3!!  But, now she can really wear these clips in her hair, rather than hooked to a hat or a headband, so it will still be useful to have.  I have been keeping them just on a strip of fabric hanging from a hanger in her closet, but I figure if I have them out, hanging on her door or wall, I will use them more…that’s the hope anyway!  For a few bucks, you can make one too!

MATERIALS NEEDED:

Picture Frame without the glass (I got mine for free from a Dust Collectors Party)

Ribbon – $2.10

Glue Gun

DIRECTIONS:

Remove glass from frame.  Cut ribbon in strips, about 1 inch longer than inside of frame (where you will be gluing it).

Glue your strips to back of frame.  Hang, and attach your bows and ribbons!  So easy!!  I kick myself that I didn’t make this sooner.  It looks cute hanging in her room, as well as know she wears the clips we have had for 3 years now, AND it only took me about 5-10 minutes to put together!

  1. This is darling, thank you so much for posting this. My daughter is 15 now and doesn’t really wear the cute little bows and hair clips anymore but these would make fantastic gifts for the women I know with little ones who still do wear them….again thanks so much and I really appreciate your hard work and dedication to your blog

  2. Julie, I am glad you like it! They make great gifts for baby showers too. Super easy, and cute!! Plus you can make your own flower clips pretty easily. We appreciate the comments. Thank you!!
