DIY Firecrackers

firecrackerdecor

I saw these cute firecrackers, and thought they would be perfect for a simple Fourth of July Decoration.  I have to admit though, I just glanced at the picture, and went for it.  I didn’t even see that they had used Pringles and drink containers….would have been a great thing to save (though, hardly ever bought in our house 🙂 ! ).  I just used toilet paper and paper towel rolls, and wrapped them with cute scrapbook paper…worked great!!

MATERIALS NEEDED:

Paper towel and toilet paper rolls

scotch tape

scrap book paper

silver pipe cleaners

DIRECTIONS:

Simply cover the cardboard tube with scrap book paper.  I cut a piece of paper about 1 inch taller than the tube.  Tape it off, and then fold in the top.

I cut my pipe cleaners in half, and only used half in each.  I also just slid it into the top where I had folded in the paper at the top.

Some I had to attach with a little piece of tape to hold in place.

Happy 4th of July!!!
