DIY Glass Cleaner! Only 3 Ingredients!!

Ok. Here we go again! We’re going to make our own homemade glass cleaner! This is super easy to make and cleans like a charm!

The little marks you see in the top of the after picture is actually a reflection of the texture on my ceiling. There isn’t a streak left after a SINGLE cleaning!

Here’s what you’re going to need:

  • Vodka
  • Vinegar
  • Water
  • Spray Bottle
  • Microfiber cloth

Ok, grab that handy dandy Vodka again! You can use regular rubbing alcohol if you wish. I just find the smell to be way too strong for me and I don’t like the fact that its toxic. However, the choice is yours.

Pour 1/8th of a cup of Vodka and 1/8th a cup of vinegar into an empty spray bottle. My bottle was only 5 ounces so I used smaller measurements. You may use more if you have a larger spray bottle.

Once you have your mixture in your bottle. Fill it the rest of the way up with warm water. Your mixture is ready to use now.

Here is what I’m working with. My mirror had been cleaned with Windex but left horrible streaks even after I cleaned it several times. Of course it had been cleaned a while back so it also had toothbrush splatter and all sorts of other fun stuff on it in addition to the old streaks.

All I did now was point and shoot!

Once my mirror was soaked. I used a microfiber cloth to wipe it down.

Look how amazing the mirror looks after a SINGLE spray and wipe!

I loved the results so much I decided to try spraying it on my black tile counter. I’ve used Windex in the past but of course it does nothing but streak the black tile and mind you, this tile likes to hoard spots! Anything that falls on it stays on it! Sadly, this picture was taken two days after it was completely clean…

So, I soaked it in our homemade mirror cleaner and this was my result…

This is THE BEST cleaner I’ve ever had the pleasure of using! I’m so excited this worked! I’m seriously in love with Vodka as a cleaner! I haven’t been disappointed with any of the cleaner’s we’ve made with it yet!

I hope you enjoy this cleaning tip!!

  1. I would just use the vinegar. I used to worked at a place and that was the owner made me use with water. Vinegar is great because it leaves no streaks on windows. I would save the vodka for a party.

  2. I agree with William and if you are going to use alcohol, use rubbing alcohol and don’t waste the vodka….drink it while you’re using the rubbing alcohol.
