DIY Photo Poster

This had to be one of the easiest things I have done…I kick myself that I have not done it sooner!

My husband took this shot at work, of some old bike racks that don’t get used.  We have been wanting to blow it up for years, and get it on the wall…we like to bike at our house.  We also took some family photos, and I wanted to blow up a group shot as well.  So I did it…months ago.  I meant to mount them on some pieces of ply wood, but we don’t have a saw, and I haven’t been able to get access to one.

So, the poster prints have been on my desk for months, just taking up space.  I also had purchased some foam board at the dollar store years ago, for a project I have yet to do, so I checked to see what size it was, and sure enough, same size as my poster prints!!  I had some left over modge podge from an old project, and easy peasy, glued the print onto the form board, and mounted it on the wall.

Ta Da!!  Instant wall art, for MUCH cheaper than canvas prints.  Will be doing this again soon.

Another bonus is that you can mount them with velcro…no nail holes in the walls or in the photos, and they can be easily removed.

Poster Print – I did mine at Costco for $8.99/each

Modge Podge glue

Foam brush

Brush on glue to a 1/4 of the foam board.  Place photo on board.  Fold back gently and brush on glue to other side of foam.  Attach the rest of your picture…so easy!!

Didn’t take pictures, as I hope it is pretty common sense.
