Easy End of Year Teacher Gift

DSC_0541It is almost that time of year, the end of school!
I know my kids are looking forward to summer 🙂

My Son will move on to 1st Grade and his teacher is leaving to stay at home with her son.
She has been a great teacher and my Daughter will be disappointed that she will not be there for her in Kindergarten.

This year I wanted to do something special for my Daughters Preschool teacher since it will be her last year in Preschool.
She has gone to the same lady for the last two years and I know she will miss her.

I wanted to give them something they not only would love but something they would use.

Enter…Amazon! 😉

We featured these little guys a while back and I just had to scoop them up, 1 gal Anchor Hocking Glass Jars.

So here is the nitty gritty on how I made mine:
~2 glass jars from Amazon
~1 Keep Calm and Carry On cling from the dollar store
~Contents for the jars
~Ribbon for the top
~A cute little saying or a heartfelt note

For my Son’s teachers jar: {pictured above}
Half the cling {Keep Calm and}
Two cars
A cute cup
A fingernail file
Some nail polishes
A travel sunscreen
Hand Sanitizer
and an
Amazon Local voucher for Frozen Yogurt 😀
I did a mix of stuff for her and stuff for her son and then threw in the voucher so they could go on a dessert date!
All the other stuff was from my stockpile.
Total cost: $13

For my Daughter’s teachers jar:
The rest of the cling {Carry On}
Dollar store preschool supplies:
-I learned my ABC Certificate
-Writing strips
-fun erasers
Hand Lotion
Hand Sanitizer
Nail polish
Total cost: $13

Not only will it work for teachers too but you could use them for a housewarming gift too 😉

DSC_0542So for a grand total of $26 for the two.
The notes are tucked inside and each kid wrote a special note to their teacher.

*I picked Keep Calm and <3 because she was worried about leaving her students to stay home.
I picked Carry On because she will continue to teach Preschool.
Both sayings are very easy to remove when they want to use the jars for something else.*
