Flower Pot Fairy Gardens

fairygarden
I had a great idea for something fun for the kids to do, Fairy Gardens.
I had seen a lot of ideas on stick furniture and the plants that go into a Fairy Garden.
So I set out to make them.  I picked up some flower pots at Shopko on Clearance for $1
I then had the kids paint them whatever color they wanted.
We painted outside on a hot day so they took no time to dry! 🙂

I grabbed some craft sticks I had laying around and snapped them in half and hot glued them together and to the pot.
I had the kids find a rock to use as the door knob.  I was going for doors but the kids told me, No Mom they are fence gates 😉

After collecting some sticks to start on the itty bitty chairs for the garden area itself I realized something…..
I don’t have the patience for something like this!  LOL 😀
The idea was to have something for them to do but in the end I would of ended up making the little chairs for them.
Who knows if they would of enjoyed it after it was all done.

So this post really isn’t a DIY on how to make Fairy Gardens but a post about seeing something on Pinterest and realizing you really can’t make it
and thats OK!

If you have the patience and find it relaxing and something your kids may enjoy I highly recommend searching our Pinterest page for inspiration.
There are some really cleaver and cute ideas for Fairy Gardens.

Maybe if my kids were older they would be able to make it themselves and enjoy it more.
This may be a project for in the future.

Have you ever started a project and realized you aren’t that creative or that patient for it?
What project was it?

I am ok with not being able to do it all 🙂

Make sure to pin this to Pinterest to save for later!
