This afternoon I stopped in at Family Dollar for a few cleaning items and as I am waiting to check out I see a whole wall of Covergirl Queen Collection Beauty Products for $1.00 -$3.00! Ringing any bells???
USE $1.00/1 Covergirl Product
USE $1.00/1 Covergirl Queen Collection Product
USE $2.50/2 Covergirl Products
AFTER MULTIPLE TRANSACTIONS I cleared my binder of all the Covergirl Coupons.
Don’t worry I left enough for about 10 more people to do the same thing (They have a huge stock on these!) ** Piece of Advice — Mix and Match a $1.00 item and a $1.50 item to get to the $2.50/2 and you can only use 4 coupons per transaction! Happy Shopping!
ITEMS INCLUDED
Tweezers
Emery Boards
Nail Clippers
Pumice Stones and other multiple Nail Items!

i have already tried this, the ones in parkersburg wv will not allow it. even talked to mgr about this. if the coupon makes a item free they will not take the cpn,its there cpn policy.i would ask first
As always its a good idea to check, however, it was a manager that did check me out. My store is in Nampa, ID.
The FD coupon policy doesn’t address this issue specifically, however it does say “Cash Back will not be issued if the value of the coupon is greater than the purchase price of the item.” Now that says to me that they won’t issue overage, but doesn’t say they won’t allow you to get an item that end up being “less than the cpn”. ALSO, they say: “Coupons for free items are only accepted if it requires a purchase to get one free” and then they also say they won’t accept cpns that “Are for “free” items, unless a purchase is required (i.e. Buy one get one free). The way I interpret this is that you can have a coupon that says FREE PKG OF LAYS POTATO CHIPS unless it was a cpn that said you Buy one get one free or if it was one of those where you buy the dip get the free bag of chips type thing. It doesn’t say anything about not being able to use a cpn on an item that will end up being free after the cpn is added. Normally they just adjust the cpn down to the cost of the item. BUT I guess it’s up to the mgr. Here is a copy of the complete FD coupon policy and the link for it is:

free is acceptable)

sorry, I had a typo above! I should have said you CAN’T have a cpn that says ONE FREE BAG OF LAYS POTATO CHIPS unless it was a cpn that also said BUY ONE BAG OF LAYS POTATO CHIPS GET ONE FREE or was a cpn that said buy the dip get the chips free………….SO SORRY!
Thank RuthAnn for clearing that up and linking the actual coupon policy for Family Dollar!
