Fun Things for Kids to do! #1 – Colored Vinegar and Baking Soda

vinegarsodaart

We recently moved to a new state, and away from all our friends that the kids have grown up with.  We are having to adjust to a new city, but also need to come up with some new boredom busters for the down times of the day when the kids would normally be playing with the kids in our old neighborhood, and for the times it is too hot to be outside, and we just need something fun indoors.

Today we tried this one out.  The kids LOVED it!!  Something we will be doing again for sure.  It was so easy, and I don’t know why we haven’t done it sooner.  We have done volcanoes before, but never just painted with vinegar and soda.  My son went a little crazy, but my daughter was so thoughtful in how and where she squirted the vinegar.

Next time your kiddo’s are looking for something new to do, break this out.  I would think kids as young as 18 months could handle it.
