HOT Hebral Essence Deal @ CVS starting 4/3!

Starting this Sunday, 4/3, CVS is having a couple great deals you might want to prepare for now!

Buy $30 of Select P&G items and get $10 ECB! Remember that Herbal Essence BOGO coupon? I already used mine, but if you happen to have six of them (or you order them now!), here’s an awesome deal on Shampoo!

Herbal Essences, $2.75
Buy $30 = $10 ECB
Buy 12 Herbal Essences = $33.12
Use 6 BOGO FREE Herbal Essences, 3/13 SS
AND Use 3 $1/2 Herbal Essences, 4/3 PG
Pay $13.56 get back a $10 ECB = $3.56 for 12 or $0.30 each

Thanks, Money Saving Madness!

  1. Here are the coupons I have. How would my deal look?

    (6) BOGO Coupons
    (3) Free any One Herbal Essence Coupons
    (3) $1/1 Herbal Essence Coupons

    • Your scenario would look like this:

      Buy 12 = $33
      Use (6) BOGO’s = – $16.50
      Use (3) Free’s = -$8.25
      Use (3) $1/1 = -$3
      Pay: $2.25, Get back $10
      Final Price = MAKE $7.75!

      Luck you :).

You may or may not have issues using the “free” coupons. I’m not sure how your CVS will handle the “buying” of a Herbal Essence product with a “free” coupon. Techinically it’s legit. You’re only tagging each product with 1 coupon so it should work!

If not (even though they should), you could still do this:

      Buy 11 = $30.25
      Use 3 Free’s = -$8.25
      Use (4) BOGO’s = – $11
      Use (3) $1/1 = -$3
      Pay: $8, Get back $10
      Final Price = MAKE $2

  2. The BOGO coupons I have say “limit 4 like coupons in one shopping trip”. Can I make a couple of trips and still get the extra care bucks even if it isn’t in one transaction?

    • Hmm, I don’t live by a CVS so I’m not familiar with their promos as well as other drug stores. I would say probably not. Most stores require you to purchase the $30 in one transaction. Unless CVS tracks your purchases like Rite Aid, it probably won’t work.

You could still do this though:

      Buy 11 = $30.25
      Use (4) BOGO = -$11
      Use (5) $1/2 = -$5
      Pay: $14.25, Get Back $10
      Final Cost = $4.25 or $.39 each

      Still a good deal!

  3. @Tamra, looking at your first scenario how do you go from $8.25 after the 3 free coupons to $2.25 after using the (3) $1/1 coupons? Is my math off or am I missing something?

@Tamra & @Elaine, CVS tracks your purchases towards ECBs like Rite Aid does. Just look at the bottom of you receipt. Also if your CVS does not allow you to use more than 4 Herbal Essence BOGO coupons at once then just split up the transactions.

    • Your right Jeremy, I obviously did not double check my math! Your total would be $5.25, then you would get $10 back, so you final price would be $4.75 MM.

Thanks for the update on CVS by the way!
