Making doughnuts at home is fun and easy! I am excited to share these 5 Jelly-Filled Doughnut to all of you! Happy Jelly-Filled Doughnut Day!

1. Raspberry Jelly Doughnuts

Raspberry Jelly Doughnuts

Ingredients:

1 cup milk
3 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 (1/4th oz) package dry active yeast
2 tbsp warm water
3 1/2 cups flour {I used bread flour but you could use all purpose, too}
2 tbsp vegetable oil + 10 cups for frying
2 eggs
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
raspberry jam for filling
powdered sugar for dusting
special tools: candy thermometer, rolling pin, biscuit cutter OR glass jar

2. Baked Doughnut muffins with Blueberry Jam

Baked Doughnut muffins with Blueberry Jam

Ingredients:

150g caster sugar
200g plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
100ml plain yoghurt (I used fat-free Bulgarian yoghurt)
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
150g butter, melted
12 tsp blueberry preserves
for the coating
150g caster sugar

3. Blackberry Jam & Custard Donuts

Blackberry Jam & Custard Donuts

Ingredients:

For the doughnuts:
1 + ⅔ cups (250g) plain flour
2 tbsp (30g) caster sugar, plus ½ cup (110g) extra for coating
1 tsp (5g) salt
2 tsp (10g) dried yeast
2 eggs
zest of half a lemon
¼ cup + 2 tsps (75ml) warm water
4 + ½ tbsp (65g) butter, softened
oil for frying (I used canola)
For the filling:
½ cup cream
¼ cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 egg yolks
2 tbsp caster sugar
2 tbsp cornflour (cornstarch if you’re in the US)
¼ cup smooth blackberry jam

4. CHERRY JAM FILLED SOUR CREAM DONUTS

CHERRY JAM FILLED SOUR CREAM DONUTS

Ingredients:

3½ to 4 cups all purpose flour
1 package (7 g) active dry yeast
2 tbsp sugar
⅔ cup milk, lukewarm
5 tbsp butter, melted
1 cup sour cream
1 egg
pinch of salt
oil for frying
cherry jam for filling
powdered sugar

5. BEIGNETS (KRAFNE)

BEIGNETS (KRAFNE)

Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
1/2 cup of sugar
3/4 stick of butter, melted and cooled off a bit
4 egg yolks, plus 1 whole egg
1 tbsp of spiced rum, plus 1/2 tsp rum extract *
peel of one big orange
1/2 tsp of salt
1/4 cup of milk
1 tbsp yeast (heaping)
**water as needed
