Kids Summer Planner

summerplannerSummer has officially begun at our house!  Well at least it did on the 4th.
I love summer cause we normally don’t have a strict schedule, we just go with the flow and do things on a whim.
Most times that created a lot of I’m bored and or fighting between my two kids, too much together time can drive anyone crazy.

I decided to try something different this summer.  Enter the Kids Summer Planner.

I typed up the categories on my computer {in word} and changed the font to something fun.
I then printed them off, cut them out and stuck them on some card-stock I already had.
I then glued some magnets to the back and they were complete.

The fun part was letting the kids decide how the schedule would go!

They were surprisingly in agreement with the order!

There are plenty of printable ones you can find out there but this way it is more tailored to your needs.
This is the side of my fridge

I am hopeful that this will help keep some order to our long summer days and help them keep up on their school skills.
I can almost guarantee though that there will be a few days when we throw the plan out the window 😉

What do you do during the summer?  Do you have a routine, fly by the seat of your pants?  I would love to hear your ideas!

Make sure to pin this to Pinterest to save for later!

  1. This is terrific! Any way you could email me the Word document?

    • I didn’t save the document, sorry. It was super easy though. I just typed out the words I needed, changed the font to something fun then printed it out. 🙂
