I told you the other day in A Little Somethin’ for Nothin’ that I would be sharing some tips on how to make this promo work for you! Have you been discouraged by K-mart’s double coupon policy that states you must spend $25 in order to double 5 coupons? No need! $25 is BEFORE coupons and does NOT mean you can’t use more coupons. You just can’t double them. If your K-mart is running this special, your Walmart will likely match it. However, CALL FIRST! Stores and regional policies CAN differ. Here is what I like to do. Get several high value, low OOP coupons to help boost your total with out boosting your OOP.
Some of my favorites are:
$1.50/1 Breathe Right Strip (2-pack is $0.97 which means overage!)
$5/1 Purina ONE Beyond, 1/15 SS (Runs $6.48 at Walmart)
$3/1 K-Y Product, 1/8 SS (Runs $2.84 at Walmart, so there is an overage!)
$3/1 Iams Cat Food, 1/29 P&G (Runs $4.67 at Walmart)
Pick 5 that you would particularly like to double. Do your math as you shop! Make sure you are over $25 before coupons!

Buy (6) Snackwell’s Cookies, $2.50 each

Ooohhhh have I had fun at Walgreens lately! I used to always feel pressure to spend my RR at the same trip. I would lose them, forget them, let them expire, and waste my precious money! I don’t understand? Walmart will double coupons? I didn’t know they did that.
Michelle, some Walmarts will match coupon double events. Right now through April K-mart is doubling coupons on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Also Albertsons is doing their Coupon Round Up Event. If you have either of these stores in your area, call and check your local Walmart to see if they are matching them.
Hi Michelle,
Call your Walmat and ask. If there is a promo (Albertsons, Kmart and some other stores offer occasional double coupons) in your area, often walmart will match it or accept other sore coupons.
So sorry about the mix up everyone. Walgreens Transaction #2 I also needed to buy a filler item. When I was typing up the post, I left off the pencil by accident. The total was right, but you must have thought I was paying for $0.39 of air…all fixed now!
