MONSTER Cookies

These were a favorite from growing up.  I remember my Mom making them for bake sales and Kool-aid stands.  They are big, chewy, and loaded with tasty bits of chocolate.  They contain no flour, so I guess could be made Gluten free depending on the other ingredients you use.

A half batch makes about 25 large cookies for just a few bucks!!

Note: The recipe below is for a regular batch, which makes about 50 5″ cookies, I just halved it.

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 lb. butter, softened

3 cups peanut butter

2 1/4 cups brown sugar

2 cups sugar

1/2 Tbsp. Corn Syrup

1/2 Tbsp. Vanilla

4 tsp. baking soda

6 eggs

1/2 – 12oz. pkg chocolate chips

1 – 8oz. pkg M&M’s

9 cups oatmeal

DIRECTIONS:

In large mixing bowl, combine first 6 ingredients and mix well.

Add in baking soda, mixing well.

Add eggs, mixing well.

Mix in chocolate chips.

Mix in M&M’s.

Now add in oatmeal, mixing well.

Drop by large spoonfuls, about 1/2 cup of dough, on greased cookie sheet (or on a silicon mat, love them!!)

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

  1. Can I use cookie cutters with these cookies? Sorry if it is a silly question but I do not want to mess them up because they sound yummy!

  2. Helen, I am not sure, I have never tried using cookie cutters. If you do, let me know how it works out! They are super tasty!!
