Umbrella Wreath

umbrellawreath

I love the idea of having a little bit of seasonal décor, throughout the whole year, just to be a bit festive.  I saw this cute wreath, and thought it would be perfect for the summer months, and SO easy to make!  In a matter of about 30 minutes, you can have one of these cute wreaths to put on your front door too, and be all festive for the upcoming summer months!

I was able to whip this out for about $7…be sure to use your coupons though, wreath forms can be pricey.

MATERIALS:

Wreath form – ($4.99 with coupon at Joann’s)

Cocktail Umbrellas – ($5.99 for a box of 144 at Zurchers)

DIRECTIONS:

Open up an umbrella and start inserting into wreath form.

I used about 60 or so umbrellas in total, but only have about 55 on my wreath…those other 5 were ones that broke when I was putting them on the wreath.

Place them until you get to your desired look.

I trimmed the points off the umbrellas, that were poking through the back of the wreath, as well as glued some felt to the back, to make sure it wouldn’t scratch up my door.  When you have the look you want, and a ribbon or some yarn, and go and hang it on your door!
